Linda Rhodes, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Originally from California, Linda Rhodes, O.D. came to Houston when her father was transferred to Ellington Air Force base. She received her undergraduate degree in biophysics at the University of Houston and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. She established the first female-owned private optometry practice in Houston while teaching part-time at the University of Houston College of Optometry for 19 years before resigning to practice full time. With a special interest in binocular vision, she has worked with children and adults with binocular anomalies for more than 20 years. In addition, Dr. Rhodes has extensive experience in primary optometric care, contact lens fittings, binocular vision anomalies, and management of ocular disease. “I’ve been practicing optometry for over 35 years and my personal philosophy has always been really simple. My goal is to assist our patients to have the best possible vision obtainable. Each of our patients receives individualized, personal care so they are able to achieve the vision they need in order to accomplish their personal goals.” In her spare time, Dr. Rhodes enjoys gardening and sailing.
